Guitariste de formation et déjà bricoleur de mélodies de longues dates, c’est fin 2012 que le projet SkonC « dub » est né. Ce riddim maker toujours aux portes des limites du style est en perpétuelle remise en question. Toujours à la recherche de sonorités différentes et de nouvelles sensations, SkonC aka « The Chemist » sait se montrer à la fois simple et efficace tout en emportant l’auditoire loin des sentiers battus.
Ce premier LP est donc un mélange de styles, d’influences, des plus anciennes jusqu’aux sonorités actuelles souvent novatrices.
Un panel de morceaux à dominante stepper mais des ambiances très variées, allant du roots stepper au haevy weight. Avec des versions « Ruff » dub, une collaboration avec un vocal de Woody Craft et trois remixs des artistes Phoniandflore, N-Tone et Rootsteppa.
Un LP sous le signe de la révélation pour l’artiste qui, pour sur, n’a pas encore fini son exploration musicale.
