Roots Promotions presents the second edition of Dub Down Babylon:
This time we bring you the mighty Word, Sound and Power, featuring Robert Tribulation, Jimmy Ranking and Sister Beloved.
Robert Tribulation, original member of Great Tribulation Sound System from the 1970’s, founded the mighty Word, Sound & Power Sound System in 1991 as a result of Great Tribulation Sound disbanding. The aim of Word, Sound & Power was to carry forward a conscious message within the music, also to encourage and provide guidance for the emerging youths in the roots industry. Unto this day the aims of Word, Sound & Power have not changed, and with the help of the almighty, the works will continue.
Moreover, Dub Fi Youth have invited a special guest to vibe along with them, no one other than the man called Danny Red.
Danny Red started his recording career in the eighties in Kingston, Jamaica, with songs like « Who Seh Jah Jah », « Blackness Awareness » and more but it was not until the early nineties that he found some success in the Uk roots scene where he has become a major force. Danny Red was voted the best roots artist in '94 and '95 as welss as being the first roots artist to be signed to Columbia Records. Danny has worked with many top producers, recording in Jamaica, the US, Europe and the UK. Danny is currently working with different producers such as Manasseh, Gussie P and Mafia & Fluxy as well as releasing music on his won label « Ababajahnoi ».
Dub Fi Youth will be bringing their full Youths & Truths Soundsystem, to quake Babylon foundation. The full crew will be there: Bredda Kaleb and Ubuntu Dread selecting the right tunes for your spiritual upliftment and musical enjoyment, Bredda Smurf and Lidj I flavouring the riddims with some lyrical spice and Sista Fien playing melodica to blow down the walls of Babylon. The Youth & Truth defender in full effect bringing you the message of truth and right.
